« Montreal Museum Highlights Denis Gagnon’s Decade in Design » by Ryan Cheung, Flare

“A new exhibition at Montreal’s Musée des Beaux-Arts is now on, featuring the work of Quebec’s glam-rock fashion genius Denis Gagnon. The Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion will be transformed into a deconstruction of Gagnon’s designs guiding spectators through the mind of the designer from fabrics to finished avant garde garments. To inaugurate the space, the Montreal designer debuted his Spring/Summer 2011 Couture collection for his long-time confidants and devotees. He followed up with a presentation during Toronto Fashion Week that won raves. FLARE  also features Gagnon’s gorgeous fringed frocks in the November issue’s National Treasures editorial.

The  exhibition will be free to the public, allowing spectators to enter the world of Canada’s beloved enfant terrible.

The “Denis Gagnon, 10 Years of Creation” is on now till February 13th, 2011.
